In-Kind Donations

Thank you for thinking of Children’s Relief Nursery!

Children’s Relief Nursery provides basic family needs for our clients: clothing, hygienic items, food and educational materials (books, art supplies, toys, etc). Friends like you in the community give CRN gently used items that you or your children no longer need. Donations are accepted at our North Portland location (8425 N Lombard St.) Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

All gifts go directly to clients or are put to use in our therapeutic classrooms – immediately.

Our most important needs right now are:

• Size 4, 5 & 6 diapers
• Formula (we can only accept Similac or Enfamil milk and soy based, regular size cans)
• New underwear (boys and girls – up to age 4)
• Bath towels and hand towels

These gifts help our families take care of their bodies and health:
• Disposable diapers sizes 4 & 5
• Hygiene items such as shampoo and soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Children’s toothpaste and toothbrushes (non whitening)
• Hand sanitizer
• Infant/child pain reliever

These gifts help stimulate kids’ brain development:
• Books
• Educational toys for 3 and 4 year olds
• Art projects & supplies for 3 and 4 year olds
• Child safety scissors
• Pads of blank white drawing paper
• Pads of colored construction paper
• Washable markers
• Pencil sharpeners
• Coloring books for young children
• Play Dough
• Watercolor paint sets
• Large chalkboard (4’x3’)
• Wicker baskets
• Cultural objects
• Wooden beads for threading

These gifts help our families clothe their ever-growing children:
• Fall/Winter clothing for infants and toddlers
• Girls clothing size 3T and 4T, new or gently used
• Girls and boys long pants size 3T and 4T, new or gently used
• Boys pajamas size 18 months to 5T, new or gently used
• New underwear and socks for 3 and 4 year olds
• Toddler shoes sizes 5 to 9, new or gently used

These gifts help us teach healthy eating habits:
• Children’s cups and plates
• Children’s books about food
• Gardening tools for 3 & 4 year olds

These gifts help our therapists practice CPP with our families:
• Animal puppets
• Doctor play kits
• Tea sets
• Soft balls
• Toy police and emergency response vehicles
• Plastic animal figures (farm animals, wild animals, dinosaurs)
• Bubbles

These gifts help our families with essential items they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford:
• Umbrella stroller with rain guard (single and double)
• Infant strollers
• New car seats (unfortunately, we can’t accept used car seats due to safety reasons)

Please call ahead if you are able to donate the following:
• Dresser and bookcase
• Large aquarium with stand

These gifts assist our office staff:
• Flat panel computer monitors
• Computer desks
• Microsoft Office 2007 for PCs
• Adobe Creative Suite (CS3, CS4 or CS5) software for PCs

Due to safety, we are unable to accept used car seats, booster seats, or cribs.
